Edward Unveils Details of Plans for Hospital, Cancer Center in Plainfield; New state law positively impacts application

Edward Hospital & Health Services today unveiled details of its bid for a $235-plus million 162-bed hospital in Plainfield, highlighting how a new state law positively impacts the project.

Edward has submitted a certificate-of-need (CON) application for Edward Plainfield Hospital to the Health Facilities Planning Board, the state agency that regulates major health care expansion. The application could be decided upon as early as the December Planning Board meeting in Chicago.
