Studies from TissueTech, Inc. yield new data on metaplasia

A report, 'Air exposure induced squamous metaplasia of human limbal epithelium,' is newly published data in Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. "Squamous metaplasia is a pathologic process that frequently occurs in nonkeratinized stratified ocular surface epithelia. The mechanism for this occurrence is largely unknown except for vitamin A deficiency," scientists in the United States report.
