Drug discovery systems manufacturer announces FDA meeting results

Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., (VMSI) announced that it has met with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Office of In Vitro Diagnostic Evaluation and Safety (OIVD) to discuss the letter Ventana received regarding its Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) products.

At the meeting, the company discussed steps it has taken to address the issues raised by OIVD in its letter.

Consistent with these discussions, the company will continue to make its HPV ASR products available to its customers.
