Impalpable prostate tumors should be graded T1c regardless of TRUS visibility. "Since 1992, the TNM system has classified impalpable prostate cancers with visible lesions on imaging as clinical stage T2. Due to controversial reports in the literature, this classification has not been well accepted in clinical practice.
