Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida to become provider of Medicare drug plans

The company has filed an application with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to become a provider of the new Medicare prescription drug plans beginning in 2006.
Part D will provide Medicare beneficiaries with much needed prescription drug coverage for the first time in Medicare's 40-year history. BCBSF is participating in this new program to provide Floridians with enhanced access to medications and will assist beneficiaries in navigating Medicare Part D and other aspects of Medicare reform...
