Medical software company completes acquisition of nuMedica's paper charting

Patient Care Technology Systems (PCTS) announced that they have completed the acquisition of the paper charting division of Golden, Colorado-based nuMedica Inc. for an undisclosed cash amount. nuMedica is a provider of documentation solutions for emergency departments.

Previously marketed by nuMedica under the branding, formED, the bedside physician documentation system consists of approximately 100 complaint or procedure-specific physician chart templates developed by board-certified ED physicians and experts in billing, coding, and risk management. The paper templates use a consistent layout and are customizable to individual ED requirements and feature prewritten...
