HBV surface antigen used to generate high-affinity chimeric antibody

Recent research from India has documented the generation of a high-affinity chimeric antibody against hepatitis B surface antigen (HbsAg). "Antibody against HBsAg is advocated for the passive immunotherapy in certain cases of hepatitis B infections. A recombinant monoclonal antibody against HBsAg would offer several advantages over the currently used polyclonal human hepatitis B immunoglobulin.
