Researchers detail new studies and findings in the area of angiology

Angiology data are the focus of recent research from Greece, Germany and the United States.

Study 1: Elevated plaque temperature occurs in nonculprit de novo atheromatous lesions of patients with acute coronary syndromes.

According to investigators in Greece, "We investigated whether there is increased temperature in nonculprit lesions, and the correlation of clinical syndrome with heat production of non-culprit lesions. There is a controversy regarding whether there is widespread inflammation involving nonculprit lesions, or whether inflammatory involvement is limited to the culprit lesion.
