Report suggests education level among medical science liaisons a matter of credibility

Almost 70% of surveyed companies require their medical science liaisons (MSLs) to hold doctorate degrees.

According to report findings from Cutting Edge Information, credibility is the main reason for such high educational requirements.

"Companies seek highly educated individuals to serve as their gateway to thought leaders because in-depth communication and scientific understanding is much easier when MSLs have a degree and skill level that are similar to the thought leader that they are reaching out to for information," said Elio Evangelista, senior research analyst and lead author of Cutting Edge Information's collaborative report with the MSL...
