In obstructive sleep apnea, bone marrow reconversion may correlate to nocturnal desaturation

In patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, bone marrow reconversion seems to correlate to the severity of nocturnal oxygen desaturation.

"The aim of this study was to evaluate bone marrow reconversion in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). To our knowledge, no explicit correlation between OSAS and such parameter has been documented in the literature," scientists in Italy report.
