Cytyc reports record second quarter, revenue increases 20% to $150.4 million

Cytyc Corporation (CYTC), a women's health company, announced results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 rose to $150.4 million, compared to revenue of $125.4 million for the same period of 2005. Net income for the quarter was $31.7 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, compared to net income for the same period in 2005 of $28.0 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, an increase of 14%. Adjusted net income for the quarter, excluding the impact of stock-based compensation expense, was $35.5 million, or $0.29 per diluted share, an increase of 25% over the same period of 2005.
