AMA Foundation Names Barbara P. Rockett, MD President

Dr. Barbara P. Rockett is a practicing surgeon in Newton, Massachusetts. She has a long and distinguished history of service to the profession of medicine and has served on the AMA Foundation Board of Directors since January 2001. Her term extends until July 2009.
"It will be an exciting year with Dr. Rockett leading the Foundation. Her extensive knowledge of the Foundation and her compassion for helping others will serve the Foundation well," said Peter W. Carmel, MD, Past President of the AMA Foundation.
