Research and Markets has announced the addition of Espicom Business Intelligence Barr Generics Company Intelligence Report to their offering. Barr Pharmaceuticals is one of the USA's leading generic manufacturers. Generic sales in fiscal 2004 amounted to US$1.15 billion, although a sizeable proportion of this was revenue from distributed products. The company has a policy of early market entry for generics, and as such is generally involved in a large amount of litigation. Sales also tend to fluctuate year on year, as specific exclusivities are gained and expire. Prozac (fluoxetine) is a notable example. ...
