"A new poll by Rutgers University finds that many Garden State residents are worried about hospital closures -- and rightfully so. The pace of closures is accelerating in our state as hospitals continue to struggle against chronically low payments from state and federal government. "In just the last 18 months, four acute care hospitals have closed, three more are proceeding with closure plans, and five hospitals have filed for bankruptcy protection.
