L-3 Signs Agreement with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced that it has signed a Blanket Purchase Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to assist the agency with preparedness efforts for all-hazards, including acts of bio-terrorism and pandemic outbreaks. With a ceiling value of $215 million over five years, L-3's scope of work includes strategic and operational planning, training and exercise programs for CDC personnel, as well as institutional and organizational capacity and leadership building. This new agreement expands the CDC relationship with L-3's MPRI business unit, which was first contracted in April 2006 to develop the CDC Influenza Pandemic...
