CITIZEN GROUP: Telemarketer Calling on Behalf of Police Organization Convicted of Credit Card Fraud

Four telemarketers who listed the International Union of Police Associations (IUPA) as their employer were arrested between March and May 2008, according to Sarasota County Sheriff's arrest reports. The crimes listed in the arrest reports include DUI, possession of burglary tools, theft, and drug possession. Even more disturbing is the case of another telemarketer. This telemarketer was previously found guilty of credit card fraud in November 2007 and placed on probation. A few weeks later, in December 2007, he was arrested for violating his probation.
