Depomed Achieves Tier 2 Reimbursement Status for Glumetza With CVS Caremark

Depomed, Inc. (NASDAQ:DEPO) announced that it has entered into a contract with CVS Caremark, the nation's largest pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company, which will have Glumetza (extended release metformin hydrochloride tablets) available to its members as a Tier 2, Brand Preferred Metformin for the treatment of diabetes. "The acceptance of Glumetza on CVS Caremark's formulary validates the benefit that patients, physicians, and the medical community see with Glumetza therapy in the overall fight to effectively treat diabetes," noted Carl A.
