Varian Medical Systems (NYSE:VAR), the world's leading manufacturer of radiotherapy and radiosurgical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions, announced the appointment of Andrew Whitman to the newly-created position of vice-president, government affairs in Washington, DC.
