CompX International Inc. (NYSE:CIX) announced sales of $43.7 million for the second quarter of 2008 compared to $45.2 million in the same period of 2007. Operating income was $4.5 million in the second quarter of 2008 compared to $4.6 million in the same period of 2007. Net income for the second quarter of 2008 was $2.1 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, compared to $2.6 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, in 2007. Net sales for the six months ended June 30, 2008 were $84.2 million compared to $88.8 million in the previous year.
