AJS Elects Officers and Directors for 2008-2009

Gordon L. Doerfer of Boston, Massachusetts took office as President of the American Judicature Society at the Society's Annual Meeting in New York on August 7. Doerfer retired last year from the bench after twenty-five years of service on the trial and appellate courts of Massachusetts. He now serves as a mediator and arbitrator on the panel of neutrals at JAMS - The Resolution Experts. He is a member of the American Law Institute, the Institute for Judicial Administration, a fellow of the American and Massachusetts Bar Foundations, and a trustee of the Flaschner Judicial Institute.
