Candela Reports Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2008 Results

Candela Corporation (NASDAQ:CLZR) reported results for the fourth fiscal quarter and fiscal year ended June 28, 2008. Revenues of $37.8 million in the fourth quarter decreased 3.1 percent from $39.0 million in the comparable prior-year period. The Company reported a net loss of $2.7 million, or $0.12 per share, for the fourth fiscal quarter versus a net loss of $727,000, or $0.03 per share, in the corresponding period last year. Revenues from lasers and other products in the fourth quarter decreased to $25.6 million from $29.2 million in the prior year period.
