Advance America Announces Results of the Third Quarter

Advance America, Cash Advance Centers, Inc. (NYSE:AEA) reported the results of its operations for the quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2008. Diluted earnings per share for the third quarter 2008 were $0.14 compared to $0.07 for the same period of 2007. For the nine months ended September 30, 2008, total revenues decreased 4.7% to $501.5 million, compared to $525.9 million for same period in 2007. Total revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 decreased 5.5% to $173.9 million compared to $183.9 million for the same period in 2007.
