Appleton Reports Third Quarter 2008 Results

Appleton's net sales from continuing operations for third quarter ended September 28, 2008, increased 3.2 percent to $255.2 million compared to net sales from continuing operations of $247.2 million for the same quarter of 2007. Appleton reported a loss from continuing operations of $25.8 million for third quarter 2008 compared to income from continuing operations of $6.8 million for the same quarter of 2007.
