Brighton Wins $6.7 million Jury Award Against Coldwater Creek

A U.S. District Court jury in San Diego, California has awarded Brighton Collectibles a $6.7 million verdict against Idaho-based national chain Coldwater Creek for intentional infringement of Brighton's intellectual property rights (copyright and trade dress). The jury deliberated little more than one day before finding the willful misconduct by Coldwater Creek.

In making the award, the jury not only found infringement of Brighton's Carolina Heart copyright, but the jury found there is a distinctive trade dress owned by Brighton.
