Energizer Holdings, Inc. Settles With Spectrum Brands

Energizer Holdings, Inc., (NYSE:ENR), dismissed its patent infringement claims against Spectrum Brands after reaching a settlement with Spectrum late last week. The settlement followed the issuance of a preliminary injunction on October 31st. The injunction required Spectrum to withdraw its Rayovac Lithium product from the market and refrain from further sales.

Energizer sued Spectrum immediately after the launch of its primary lithium battery, alleging that Spectrum Brands infringed Energizer's US Patents 5,290,414 and 6,849,360.
