EMBARQ Expands Cable Theft Reward Effort to Trumbull County



February 7th, 2009

Embarq Corporation (EQ) is out to bring copper cable thieves to justice by expanding its Warren, Ohio, cable theft reward to all of Trumbull County. In addition, the reward has been increased from $1,000 to $5,000. The reward will be given to citizens offering information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of anyone stealing the company's live traffic-carrying cable, primarily copper cable.

EMBARQ began its effort in enlisting the public's help in 2007 with rewards in Las Vegas and Warren, Ohio. That effort was expanded last year to the Houston area, and now includes all of Trumbull County, Ohio.
