Chantel "Chani" Christie, daughter of NBA power couple, Doug and Jackie Christie, has been announced as one of the headlining acts for the January 17, 2009 Martin Luther King County Jr. Executives Awards for Excellence in Hip-Hop at MUSICA Festival. In addition to the festival she will also perform at the 37th Legislative District Democratic Inauguration Celebration for President Elect Barack Obama following the event. Through Hip-Hop, the event seeks to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by showcasing artists' voices and talents.
