Bruno's Files Voluntary Chapter 11 Petitions to Restructure Business Operations

Bruno's Supermarkets, LLC, owner and operator of Bruno's and FOOD WORLD (the "Company"), filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama (the "Court"), to restructure the Company's operations to focus on its core strengths. The Company intends to work with all of its constituencies to reach mutually acceptable resolutions and to exit bankruptcy as expeditiously as possible.
