Dr. Alma Aguado (D), a physician in San Antonio announced this week she has her eye on a U.S. Senate seat for 2010. With Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson's campaign for governor underway, Aguado stated her intentions of running for Texas Senator, and has established an exploratory committee and funding plan to prepare for the race. Aguado, 46, an internist, is bidding for the Senate spot because she believes State government needs a leader with vision.
