Despite Surge of Interest in Nursing Careers, New AACN Data Confirm That Too Few Nurses Are Entering the Healthcare Workforce

According to new survey data released by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), less than half of all qualified applicants to entry-level baccalaureate nursing programs were enrolled last year despite calls to increase the number of well-educated registered nurses (RNs) in the U.S. workforce.
