Plight of Madoff Investors with Homes in Both New York and Florida

Many individuals with homes in both Florida and New York who invested money with confessed scam artist Bernard Madoff are faced with a special problem, according to an attorney who has written widely about issues confronting those with dual residences.

Allan R. Lipman, who practices in both New York and Florida, says that such Madoff investors who were able to collect payments from Madoff before his arrest and the disclosure of the scandal may be better off if their official domicile is Florida rather than New York.
