Court Approves Increased Financing for 1800mattress.com Operations

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York, today approved an increase in debtor-in-possession financing proposed by 1800mattress.com, that will better enable the mattress and bedding accessories retailer to service its customers. The financing was increased to $900,000 from $550,000 and is being provided by Sleepy's, which is seeking to acquire the company through the Chapter 11 process. The company sought the increased funding after the court extended a decision on a final purchaser until mid May, roughly four weeks more than was originally proposed.
