Americans United for Life Applauds Oklahoma Becoming the First State to Give Pregnant Women the Right to Use Force to Defend Her Unborn Child

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has signed Senate Bill 1103, the "Use of Force for the Protection of the Unborn Act," into Oklahoma law. This bill allows a woman to use force if necessary to protect her unborn child from attack. Under the bill, a pregnant woman is legally justified in using deadly force if she "reasonably believes" an attacker is "threatening her unborn child" and "use of force or deadly force are immediately necessary to protect her unborn child."

Oklahoma is the first state to pass this new model bill by Americans United for Life (AUL).
