Traffic Stop and Search of Residence Yields Machine Guns, Pipe Bombs and Thousands of Rounds of Ammunition

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), announced the arrest of a Lake Elsinore man for possessing four unregistered machine guns. During the investigation, agents and officers also recovered 11 other firearms, two pipe bombs and thousands of rounds of ammunition. The investigation began on May 6, when San Diego Police Officers attempted to pull over Jason Hilliard, 36, for driving erratically in the Pacific Beach area. Hilliard crashed into another vehicle and was taken into custody.
