New database of nucleotide and amino acid sequences launched

FIZ Karlsruhe, a provider of information services in Europe, and European partner of science and technology online service STN International, has announced the launch of the PCTGEN database, a new source of nucleotide and amino acid sequence information. Containing sequence and patent application information submitted electronically to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), PCTGEN includes both the nucleotide and peptide sequences themselves, as well as associated bibliographic data, as provided by patent applicants.
