Method for screening beta-amyloid secretion inhibitors developed

Researchers have developed a method for the high-throughput screening of beta-amyloid secretion inhibitors using homogenous time-resolved fluorescence. According to a study from Italy, "A cell-based assay using homogeneous time-resolved fluorescence has been developed for high throughput screening of putative beta-amyloid (A-beta) production inhibitors. In this assay, total A-beta is detected by simply adding two commercially available antibody complexes.
