According to an abstract submitted by the authors to a joint meeting of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the American Society for Investigative Pathology, and the American Association of Immunologists, held June 2-6, 1996, in New Orleans, Louisiana, "Previous studies suggest that, during acute infection with P. chabaudi AS in C57BL/6 (B6) mice, IL-12 production may be a critical determinant of resistance. In this study, the kinetics of IL-12 production in B6 mice were analyzed daily for the first 5 days post infection with P. chabaudi AS.
