HMS teams with MDwise to coordinate benefits for Medicaid managed care

MDwise, a managed care plan serving more than 100,000 Medicaid recipients in Indiana, has awarded Health Management Systems, Inc., a contract to provide coordination of benefits services.

On behalf of MDwise, HMS will identify and recover expenditures from other sources insuring individuals enrolled in Hoosier Healthwise, Indiana's mandatory Medicaid managed care plan.

HMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of HMS Holdings Corp. (HMSY), helps Medicaid and other government healthcare programs contain costs by recovering expenditures from liable third-party sources of health insurance. In the past year, HMS has expanded its services to Medicaid managed care...
