Medicare Modernization Act sparks turnaround

As a result of the Medicare Modernization Act (MMA) of 2003, more seniors have access to improved benefits and innovative programs available through private sector health plans.

This trend will continue in 2005. This is the major finding of a member company survey conducted by America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) in August.

Karen Ignagni, AHIP president and CEO, discussed the findings in testimony before the Senate Finance Committee today.
