A synthetic dopamine D2 -like receptor agonist shows promise as a radioligand for imaging the D2 receptor (D2 R). Scientists in Sweden conducted a "preliminary positron emission tomography (PET) evaluation of a dopamine D2 -like receptor agonist, (R)-2-11CH3 O-N-n-propylnorapomorphine ([11C]MNPA), as a potential new radioligand for in vivo imaging of the high-affinity state" of D2 R.
