Patients with early esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with radiation

Scientists reviewed the clinical outcomes of patients with early esophageal squamous cell carcinoma who received definitive radiation therapy alone.

According to a study from Japan, "There are great differences between treatment methods for early-stage esophageal cancer in institutions. Radiation therapy has been considered to be an effective modality as organ-preserving treatment of the disease."
