Researchers describe findings in transplant medicine studies

Transplant medicine research advances have been reported from Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.

Study 1: Select therapies limit fibrosis progression after liver transplantation.

According to recent research from Germany, "in a substantial proportion of patients, recurrent hepatitis C after liver transplantation (OLT) rapidly progresses to graft cirrhosis. The role of different immunosuppressive schemes is not well evaluated."
