A revised Diabetes Quality of Life for Youth for type 1 diabetes mellitus may be more valid.

According to recent research from England, "The aim of this study was to test the construct validity of the Diabetes Quality of Life for Youth (DQOLY) questionnaire in a large representative sample of young people with type 1 diabetes mellitus. The 52-item DQOLY questionnaire was completed by 2,077 adolescent individuals (aged 10-18 years) with type 1 diabetes."

T.C. Skinner and colleagues at the University of Southampton explained, "Participants were recruited from 22 pediatric diabetes centers in 18 countries across Europe, Asia and North America....
