Healthcare company selects provider of health savings accounts

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has selected Mellon Financial Corporation's Human Resources & Investor Solutions (HR&IS) as its first preferred provider of health savings accounts (HSAs).

Mellon will provide administration and investment services to Harvard Pilgrim's participants in its HSA plans. Harvard Pilgrim has introduced a variety of high-deductible PPO plans that can be coupled with HSAs. HSAs allow employees to set aside tax-favored funds to help pay for their medical expenses.
