Celastrol has promise as a neuroprotective agent for treatment of Parkinson disease (PD) and Huntington disease (HD). According to recent research published in the Journal of Neurochemistry, "Oxidative stress and inflammation are implicated in neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson disease (PD) and Huntington disease (HD).
