Computed tomography evaluation of paraaortic lymph node metastasis performed

Computed tomography (CT) was used to evaluated paraaortic lymph node (PAN) metastasis in patients with biliary cancer.

According to a study from Japan, "The extent of PAN metastasis parallels that of distant metastases in patients with biliary carcinoma. Accurate preoperative assessment of PAN metastasis has a crucial impact on surgical indications."
