Easter Seals Applauds Agreement to Cut Costs of Prescription Medications

Easter Seals supports the agreement reached this week between President Barack Obama and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) that is designed to reduce, by 50 percent, the cost to Medicare beneficiaries of brand name medicines covered by Part D of the Medicare program.

"People with disabilities need access to the health services and supports that meet their individual needs," explains James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals. "This agreement will help individuals living with disabilities manage their health care costs which will, in turn, improve their health and independence."
