Nursing group in Iowa seeks more funding for program

Inadequate Medicaid funding in the 2005 budget could leave thousands of poor, disabled, and elderly in Iowa without care, according to nurses and healthcare advocates.

State lawmakers' proposed 2005 budget includes $362.8 million for Medicare, up $2.5 million from fiscal year 2004, according to the Legislative Services Agency.
