Pennsylvania announces comment period for Blues reserve, surplus applications

Pennsylvania State Insurance Commissioner M. Diane Koken announced that the public comment period on reserve and surplus applications for Pennsylvania's Blue Cross Blue Shield health-insurance plans.

The Pennsylvania's Blue Cross Blue Shield health-insurance plans included are Capital BlueCross; Highmark Inc. d/b/a Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and d/b/a Pennsylvania Blue Shield; Hospital Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania d/b/a Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania; and Independence Blue Cross.

The comment period begans Monday, Aug. 16. The 30-day public comment period concludes Tuesday, Sept. 14.
