Two Smith & Nephew products tapped for Wall Street Journal 2006 Technology Innovation Awards

Smith & Nephew plc (SN) announced that two of the company's new products were recognized by the Wall Street Journal 2006 Technology Innovation Awards. The Calaxo osteoconductive interference screw, whose development was led by principal scientist Nick Cotton of the company's endoscopy division, and Versajet, developed by Smith & Nephew's Advanced Wound Management business unit under the supervision of Ernest Dion, director of engineering, were selected as runners-up in the category of medical devices.
